What does “thoughtfully sourced” mean?
We use a Natural Base that is sourced from USA vendors & distributors. Our bases are all BSE/TSE free, corn free, gluten free, grain free, soy free, wheat free, and animal-origin free. We add in Organic Ginger from India and Organic Chamomile is from Egypt, all of which are from NASC certified suppliers.
How many Caming Bites come in each jar?
Each jar contains 60 bites. Tins come empty.
How often should I give my dog Calming Bites? / “Is this an as-needed chew, or something to give them on a regular basis to help them be more calm in general?”
We recommend giving these to your pup on a regular basis. There are no harmful effects of doing so. In fact, our founder Kendrick uses three doses per day for his labradoodle, Rosie. It takes the edge off without the drowsiness or other negative effects of a stronger pharmaceutical.
Calming Bites also contain chicory, which promotes gut health over time. Many dogs experience distress as a result of gastrointestinal issues, and therefore we try to proactively prevent that source of stress.
How many bites are a proper dose for my dog?
We recommend 1 bite for lightweights (<25lbs), 2 bites for midweights (<50lbs), and 4 bites for heavyweights (100lbs+).
